Service Description

Whether your goal is agility, CPE SpeedWay, canine freestyle (dog dancing), rally, trick dog, obedience, or simply building a more engaged and confident companion, Paws in Motion Introduction teaches the essential skills every sport dog needs. Using positive reinforcement, games, and low-impact equipment, dogs and handlers will develop communication, confidence, body awareness, impulse control, and teamwork. Throughout the course, students will work with tunnels, barrels, and hoops while learning how to confidently navigate equipment, respond to handler cues, and perform short obstacle sequences. A special emphasis is placed on movement skills, teaching dogs and handlers how to move together smoothly and confidently—an essential foundation for virtually every canine sport. Paws in Motion – Introduction to Dog Sports is the recommended starting point for all students interested in canine sports and serves as the prerequisite for Paws in Motion: SpeedWay, where teams progress to CPE SpeedWay-style courses with increased independence, handling skills, and flowing obstacle sequences.
