Dogs should be at least 6 months of age and have completed a positive reinforcement-based basic obedience class to begin the Foundation Agility series. The Foundation agility classes are geared towards teams who eventually wish to compete in agility. Our focus is on incrementally building the dogs’ confidence and understanding, and the handlers’ ability to communicate with their dogs. We believe strongly that agility should be a REWARDING activity for both members of the team, and work hard to ensure that exercises are performed in a SAFE, AGE-APPROPRIATE, and FUN manner! The foundation classes is 6 weeks long. Emails are sent to students after each class, and include video and written description on the homework lessons.Upon completion of the foundation classes, we will be offering Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced agility classes.

Beginning, Intermediate & Advance class - These classes will be one after the other. Each class is 6 weeks long. Beginning class starts January 2022, and the Advance class will end late May 2022. Because of the limit of evenings and teachers we have, these classes are likely only going to be offered once per year. **(Beginning Agility Dates: Thursday Nights, Dates: Jan 13, 20, 27, Feb 03, 10, 17 Time 7:45 pm-8:45 pm)**

Prerequisite: Basic Manners or dog needs to have an understanding of heel position, Impulse control (It's Yer Choice). Through positive based learning and how to use a marker word. I will not be teaching any of these skills in class - So if you are unsure if you and your dog know these skills then likely you need to take the Basic Manners Class I have coming up first. Just let me know and I will email you the information.

Dog/Requirement: Be at least 6 months old. Required Vaccinations: Rabies, DHP-P, & Bordetella.

Further Requirements: Fill out the Foundations Information Form below and send to Amanda.
